About this site
I'm Humuhumu Trott. I live in San Francisco.
I've been homeschooling my twice-exceptional daughter (gifted + ADHD-combined type) since just after kindergarten, in 2019.
When the COVID-19 pandemic began in March 2020, I started writing posts on Facebook to help parent friends of mine who were suddenly faced with supporting their children's learning at home. In July 2021, I collected the posts here on the Homeschool Humuhumu blog.
I don't know what I'm doing. I'm doing a ton of learning myself, and figuring it out as I go along. It's just like any other part of parenting that way—you figure it out quickly simply because you have to, and it all works out.
And just like any other part of parenting, what works for you is going to look different from what works for us. If some of what you read here helps your thinking about what's possible—hey, nifty!
I'm only able to share what I've learned because of the inspiration and help I got from others sharing what they've learned. I'm forever grateful, and trying to continue that beautiful tradition. If this helps just one parent help their kid have a better time, it's all been worth it.

If you'd like to keep up with new posts, hit the subscribe button and you'll get an email when I post something new. Your email address won't be shared, and you won't get any weirdo marketing junk. Just my homeschool-y blathering.
You can (try to) reach me at hello@humuhumu.com. (I'm kinda busy!)
